Stephen Grace

Stephen Grace offers clients more than 35 years of experience as consultant, chief financial officer, director-at-large of a (then) Big Five firm and university faculty member. Grace is a noted author and speaker on economic and financial issues, with a focus on corporate governance. He holds a B.S. in industrial engineering from Lamar University, an MBA from the University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Houston.

Before beginning his consulting business in 1985, Grace was senior vice president of finance and CFO of Century Corporation and Century Development Corporation. At Century Corporation, the parent holding company, he had direct responsibilities for the financial activities and oversight of more than 60 subsidiaries, joint ventures and affiliated companies with activities including auto and equipment leasing, cable TV, architectural services, sports franchises and real estate development.
COMMUNITY:

Grace served as national chairman of Financial Executives International 2003-2004 and received its Distinguished Service Award. A member of FORBES CFO Forum Advisory Board, he also is an advisor to the New York State Society of CPAs – Quality Enhancement Policy Committee. At Lamar University, he is a distinguished alumnus and serves on the board of advisors of both the engineering and business schools. He also serves on the Advisory Council at Jesse H. Jones School of Business, Texas Southern University.
