What does it mean to “pass” the GED ® test?

The GED ® Test passing score of 145 on each single test subject and a total passing score of 580 across the four-part battery. All examinees will receive GED® Test credentials upon passing, at the close of the exam. Examinees may also earn the College Ready Score or College Ready+ Credit Score after the required score is achieved on a single test subject. score:

How to Register?

All examinees are required to schedule test dates with Pearson Vue by contacting Pearson Vue Test Administration at 1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433). Examinees must create a GED account with Pearson Vue to start the GED® Test.

Test Details

GED TEST DETAILS
Fee The cost for the GED ®  is $36.25 per test, $145.00 total.
Identification On the day of the test, examinees are required to bring a valid, un-expired driver’s license and/or state ID as primary identification. If the examinee has an out-of-state ID, proof of residency must be presented at check-in. The approved identification must include the examinee’s name, date of birth, signature and a recognizable photograph. If proper identification is not presented at the time of arrival/check-in, the examinee will not be permissible to enter into the testing room for exam. The examinee must contact Pearson Vue to reschedule exam. Refunds are not provided, in this case.
Time Duration The GED Test is approximately 7 ¼ hours long for the four-subject examination.
Test Results

Examinees will receive an unofficial score at the close of the exam, prior to leaving the Testing Center for all parts of the exam (except the ‘Reasoning through Language Arts’ section).

GED ® credentials will be mailed to the address confirmed during registration. Please verify the address on file is correct, before leaving the Testing Center, to avoid GED ® credentials sent to the incorrect address.

Rescheduling Please contact Pearson Vue at least (1) business day, in advance, to avoid forfeiting your examination fees at 1-877-EXAM-GED (392-6433).
Retest For all examinees interested or assigned a rescheduled exam, make sure to follow the registration process through Pearson Vue.
