Dear Alumni and Friends,
It is my honor to welcome you back to Texas Southern University and this year’s 2016 Homecoming celebration, ReMember the Times. Coming “home” is an important part of your life as a TSU Tiger. I am a proud HBCU graduate and understand the necessity of reconnecting with your beloved alma mater.
Homecoming will reunite alumni with classmates and friends to reminisce and revitalize their ties to Texas Southern. I invite you to join us for a week of festivities that will offer something for everyone. Here are just a few events of special interest to alumni:
This year our Tiger Paw Golf Classic will be played close to the campus, at Hermann Park Golf Course, and is scheduled for 8 a.m., Thursday, October 20, with a two-man scramble. To play or for more information, call 713-313-1363.
An Alumni Welcome Reception that will recognize Chapter of the Year, Life Members, and classes from a range of decades, is set for 7 p.m., Thursday, October 20, in the Tiger Room on campus.
The TSU National Alumni Association will host an informative General Body Meeting, 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 21, in the Tiger Room. For more information call the Office of Alumni Relations at 713-313-1363.
I wish to invite you to a Listen and Learn forum for alumni to share ideas to strengthen TSU. This session is scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, October 21, in the Student Life Center.
Join us for our ReMember the Times Dance & Concert Showcase, 7 p.m., Friday, October 21, right here in the campus’ Student Life Center. Tickets, 713-313-1361 or 713-313-1861.
Join us as our Tigers face-off against Jackson State on Saturday, October 22, 2:00 p.m., for our homecoming Football Game at BBVA Compass Stadium. Tickets can be purchased by calling 713-313-4355 or online at http://www.bbvacompassstadium.com/
The Grand Tiger Parade returns to the historic Third Ward and alumni are invited to participate. See route below.
