Dallas High Schools filled with future Tigers

Posted on Tuesday, May 02, 2017

College acceptance season is in full swing. TSU President Austin Lane capped off the April leg of his high school recruitment tour with visits to Lincoln High School and Kimball High School in Dallas. In total, between 30 and 40 students from these two schools are planning to attend TSU in the fall. Six students were awarded $2,500 scholarships and 21 students submitted new applications for admission. Several of the students will be enrolling in TSU’s Summer of Success (SOS) Program to allow them conditional admission to TSU for the fall semester.  President Lane returned to Dallas in May to successfully recruit and welcome students from Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy and South Oak Cliff High School.  Over 1200 new students have been admitted to TSU from Dallas for the 2017-2018 academic year.
