Texas Southern University, in coordination with Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis, has conducted two town hall meetings last month to inform the public and to get feedback about the upcoming improvements to Cleburne Street in the vicinity of the TSU campus, which are scheduled to begin this summer. University and Precinct 1 officials were present, along with engineers assigned to the Cleburne Street project.

“TSU is excited about the opportunities these improvements will create, not only for our campus community, but for the residents and businesses in the vicinity of Cleburne Street,” said Dominique Calhoun, executive director of government and community relations at TSU. “Our town hall meetings were very helpful, not only for the citizens who attended, but for the agencies that are leading the project.”

Individuals who were unable to attend either of the meetings can still provide input. Comments and questions, as well as the public presentation from the first two meetings are linked below, and additional feedback can be submitted directly to Mr. Calhoun at dominique.calhoun@tsu.edu or 713.313.7640.
